Embark on a unique training course that concentrates on building Wisconsin’s labor movement. The School for Workers' Leadership Academy is a 9-month certificate program that sharpens personal and professional skills.
The Leadership Academy’s innovative approach is built on the cohort model. Course members from across the state begin the program together, tackle tough issues together, share and implement their vision for their union’s future together. Enrollment will be limited to 30 people, and a maximum of three from any local union, to ensure a high-quality, diverse educational experience. Women and minorities are encourages to apply.
Each of the days include key lessons in a thoughtful progression. It begins with an in-depth overview of U.S. labor history, global economy and corporate structures.
